Vildagliptin is an dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) inhibitors class antidiabetic drugs.
Vildagliptin tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.

Vildagliptin tablet is an antidiabetic drug, used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age. Vildagliptin tablet is also used in combination with other diabetes medicines. Vildagliptin tablet can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs.
When Vildagliptin tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar.
Vildagliptin Tablet Dosage :-
Vildagliptin tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Vildagliptin tablet as directed by your doctor. Take Vildagliptin tablet exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor. Vildagliptin tablet should be taken immediately before or with a meal. Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. And always try to take Vildagliptin tablet on regular schedule. Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control. Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking Vildagliptin tablet without asking your doctor. Vildagliptin works by increasing the amount of insulin produced by our body. It also decreases the amount of glucagon produced by the pancreas. Glucagon causes your liver to produce more sugar, so by reducing the amount of glucagon in your body, it also helps lower your blood sugar levels. Vildagliptin lowers the amount of glucose in the blood.
Thus, Vildagliptin tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.
