Dapamac 5 tablet is prescribed to control high blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes mellitus for adult patients above 18 years of age.

Dapamac 5 Tablet Composition :-

Dapamac 5 tablet contains :

Dapagliflozin .................................. 5mg

Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitors, a class of oral hypoglycaemic agents.

Dapamac 5 Tablet Uses :-

Dapamac 5 tablet is an antihyperglycemic agents, used to control type 2 diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar levels) in adult patients above 18 years of age.

Dapamac 5 tablet can be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs.
When Dapamac 5 tablet is used along with a healthy diet and exercise, it helps a lot in controlling blood sugar.
Dapamac 5 tablet is not indicated for use in patients with type 1 diabetes and diabetic ketoacidosis.

Dapamac 5 Tablet Dosage :-

Dapamac 5 tablet is a prescription medicine. Take Dapamac 5 tablet as directed by your doctor. Use Dapamac 5 tablet exactly as directed by the doctor. Do not take a higher or lower dose than directed by your doctor. Dapamac 5 tablet should be taken immediately before or with a meal. Never self-medicate or change the dosage without a doctor's advice.
Do not take 2 or more doses at the same time. Always try to take Dapamac 5 tablet on regular schedule. Always take the tablet even if you feel well or your blood sugar level is under control. Do not stop taking without your doctor's advice. Otherwise, your blood sugar level may rise again. Do not stop taking Dapamac 5 tablet without asking your doctor. How Does Dapamac 5 tablet Work :-

Dapamac 5 tablet contains : Dapagliflozin.

Dapagliflozin :

Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (sglt2) inhibitors, a class of antihyperglycemic agents.
Dapagliflozin works by blocking a protein in the kidney Which is called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2). SGLT2 is a protein Which absorbs glucose from the urine into the blood flow as it is filtered into the blood kidney.
By blocking the action of SGLT2, dapagliflozin causes the removal of excess glucose through urine, which reduces the level of glucose in the blood.

Thus Dapamac 5 tablet works by controlling the level of sugar in the blood.

Dapamac 5 Tablet Sideeffects :-

Like all medicines, Dapamac 5 tablet can cause side effects, however not everyone may experience these side effects.

Some common side effects like -

Genital infection,

Nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the nose and throat),

Urinary tract infection,

Symptoms of hypoglycaemia : ( feeling shivering or restless, sweating, feeling hungry, feeling like your heart is pounding, dizziness ),

Difficulty urinating and many other side effects can occur.

Precautions :-

Before taking Dapamac 5 tablet, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver problems or an infection in the urinary tract or if you are taking (diuretic) pills.

Dapamac 5 tablet is not intended for the treatment of type 1 diabetes type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

Pregnant or lactating women should also consult their doctor before taking Dapamac 5 tablet.

Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking Dapamac 5 tablet as it may increase the risk of some sideeffects.

Pregnancy - According to Their Doctor's Advice,

Breastfeeding - As Recommended by your Doctor,

Alcohol - Unsafe,

It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Dapamac 5 tablet. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption while taking Dapamac 5 tablet as it may increase the risk of certain side effects.
